Tea of the Month Club!

Now Available

You can join the Tea of the Month Club at any time through Poppy Swap- the online marketplace for herbalists (and believe me, if you haven't checked it out, you should go there right NOW to see what you are missing)- or my Etsy Store and choose from either a 6 or 12 month purchase.

With either option, you make one easy payment- and for the next 6 or 12 months you get a fresh tin of a new variety of tea sent directly to you (or your designated recipient- this makes a wonderful gift for tea lovers,) with nothing more to do!  Easy!

If you would like to join the Tea of the Month Club directly (bypassing Etsy or Poppyswap), please use the Paypal buttons below.  If you prefer to make payments on your Tea of the Month Club purchase, either monthly, or quarterly, rather than one large purchase, you can make those selections on payment plans below as well!

No catch, no reordering -  just freshly blended, medicinal strength and delicious herbal tea blends straight from me to you.  The selections will be seasonally appropriate and will include some of our favorite blends currently available (like Faery Nectar, Artemis Elixir, Banish the Blues, and Belly Bliss) along with new varieties as they are available (look for teas for the Cross Quarter days, Elements and more!)

The best part about this is you can join the Tea of the Month club at ANY TIME through Poppy Swap, Etsy, or using the Paypal links below!  There is no registration deadline, no limits on how many members, and no worries for you.

A New Offering- Floralia Botanical Photography

After years and years of taking photographs of beautiful flowers and plants, both macro, botanical and artistic, I've decided to open a venue to share these photographs with the world.
FLORALIA

Floralia is both a tribute to the plant world in all their glory, a way to honor and appreciate the healing powers of the plants without harvesting leaf nor bud, and something I love dearly.  I've spent countless hours wandering deserts, forests, rivers, and valleys taking pictures of plants, and find that some of my deepest healing and connection with the plants comes in these times, seeing them through the artistic lens of the camera.
Some plants hide and don't take photographs well when they aren't ready, and others will shine forth brightly, practically begging to be photographed, and shot after shot will turn out perfectly composed.    I hope that you will find something beautiful that speaks to your wild and green heart at Floralia, and know that it supports me both in my work, and my pleasure.

Currently offering 8 x 10 prints of a select number of botanical photographs and photographic art (a photographic image that has been edited software to enhance and create something new and exciting- a revealing of the inner nature of the plant, the moment, or an emotion).

In the future I will be offering small sized prints, some larger sizes, note cards and more.  If you are looking for a specific plant or size photo please contact me. I have thousands of plants in photograph which I can print to order for you.
Here's a small taste of what you will find at Floralia.
Please stop by and check out everything I have to offer currently.  New pieces are added regularly!

Herbal CSA Update

The response the Herbal CSA (see the original posting here)and my plea for support from my community was a total hit. I'm so deeply grateful for everyone who responded in some way, by either joining the CSA or by making another generous donation.

It turns out that I can take on a couple more people for full product CSA memberships.  All I ask is a regular payment of 25$ payable via paypal subscription for 12 months, and I will send you a monthly e mail describing herbs and products, and a full sized product, or even two each month!

At the end of the 12 months, I'll offer an optional extension (4 months to another year) before I open up the CSA to a new round of folks.

The product for March is ready and waiting, and I have to say it might be one of my best creative concoctions yet, you won't want to miss it.

Please e mail me right away if you would like to participate.  shamana.flora@gmail.com

Also, I hope in the  not too distant future to make other CSA type offerings available to the community.  Turns out my first love in herbalism, is still the one I love best.  Making herbal medicines, and wildcrafting and growing plants, and I'd love to offer those creations to the community that can use them.

This support means so much to me, and means I can pursue some much needed personal guidance and healing through the services of In Arms Coaching

An Herbal CSA- Asking for help from my friends and community

I am writing today to ask for some support from my friends and community. As some of you may know I've been dealing with a lot of sadness, frustration, inability to work effectively and general motivational blahs. Seems like months now. All my loved ones have concurred that I need to find help to handle what is seemingly overwhelming and too big for me alone, and I've found something that I think will change my life, and the way I live it, and I'm so excited. But it isn't cheap.

I've spent some time talking with Britt at In Arms Coaching over the last few weeks and participated in her seminar Overcoming Overwhelm: 3 Tools for Women. Just the few short sessions I've had with her have been remarkably helpful in getting me out of a really deep funk and helped me to find ways to become more grounded and less overwhelmed by the daily to do list.

Anyway, I really need to continue working with her in her coaching program, and I need to come up with 300$ extra dollars a month to afford this.  So I've hatched a plan.  An herbal CSA.

I'm looking for 12-15 generous and committed souls, friends, customers and family members who would be willing to donate $25 dollars a month, for 12 months.  In return for your huge generosity and love, I would send you a full sized herbal product or two each month.  This will include tinctures, elixirs, vinegars, syrups,  teas, salves, creams or anything else special and seasonal that I dream up for you.

Some of the products could include:
NettleBerry Vinegar
Birch elixir
St Johns Wort Oil
Elderberry Syrup
Pine sap salve
Dream tea
Faery Nectar Tea
Herbal Chai
Elderflower Elixir
Herbal Healing Salve
St John's Wort Tincture
Calendula Cream
and much more!

The price of the donation, which is a subscription through paypal, includes the product, and shipping, plus enough extra for me to pay my monthly coaching payment.

I hope to start coaching right away, and am ready to send you your first product at the end of March!

If you would be willing to support me in making Life Coaching from In Arms Coaching a reality, and getting super high quality  handcrafted, wildcrafted and effective herbal medicines and products in return, please let me know right away, or you can subscribe immediately by using the paypal button below.

This subscription will be automatically paid each month via paypal. If you want to make other arrangements please e mail me at shamana.flora@gmail.com.

Thank you so much for helping me to make coaching with Britt a reality, so that I can better help myself create the life I want, that brings me happiness, fulfillment, and even better herbal offerings to all of you.

Holiday Goodies and Craving Killer Cocoa Recipe!!

I've got some new goodies available at my Etsy store for the holiday season!!  Chocolate Pomander Lip Balm, Chocolate Mint Lip Balm.  Soon we'll have Spicy Hot Cocoa and her new tasty side kick- Orange Energy Hot Cocoa- with Maca, Ashwaganda and Orange peel for a tasty holiday treat that treats you well on all levels.   These cocoas are made with fair trade organic cocoa, organic cane juice and spices. NO dairy, no gluten!  This is a low sugar blend- just a hint of sweetness to complement the spices and herbs in each blend!  Brew it with your favorite milk (dairy or non) whisk in an egg yolk for extra staying power and enjoy! If you prefer a sugar free version, please just send me a message I'll be happy to whip it up for you!

Try this simple recipe below for the kind of cocoa that kills your cravings and satisfies for hours!

Craving Killer Cocoa

Heat water in a tea kettle to boiling.

In a mug whip together:

  • pinch of sea salt and/or 10 trace minerals drops
  • two or three tbsp of piima cream or other non dairy milk (coconut works especially well)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp melted coconut oil or ghee

Slowly pour hot water over the whipped cocoa,c ream, egg  and oil mix gently stirring as you do. Out comes a frothy, foamy, deeply chocolate, creamy delight.

If you want, you can add some stevia to the mix for a slightly sweeter drink, but remember those bitter flavors are there to help you with your sugar cravings!

Yum!

Green Tea and Rose Cream- Skin saver, burn remedy, antioxidant, sunscreen

Green Tea and Rose Cream

This cream has been a consistent winner with my customers from the first time I created it over two and half years ago.

I formulated this to be a protective antioxidant and restorative for the delicate skin of the face. Used before and after sun exposure.

Green Tea is rich in polyphenols, catechins and other antioxidants and gives a mild sun protection factor. It cools and heals sun burned, damaged, mature and normal skin alike. Treat your skin to a rich infusion of nutrients from green tea infused sesame oil in this delightful cream.
Green Tea and Rose Cream
Rose is well known to soothe, calm and cool sensitive, reactive, burned and damaged skin. This rich cream is infused with multiple levels of rose- rose flowers infused in sesame oil, rose water, and rose otto.

Aloe Vera is another ally for healing and cooling the skin, especially after burns or sun exposure. Hydrate deeply with the polysaccharides in aloe vera.

Sesame oil is a mild sunscreen, well absorbed by all types of skin, and is rich in vitamins E and A. I have found that the creams made with sesame oil are superb in texture, and glide on like silk, and sink into the skin quickly. Sesame oil is revered as the oil of choice for the skin in Ayurveda. Tap into centuries of knowledge for beautiful skin.

Raw, Fair Trade Shea butter completes this cream as a rich emollient full of skin restoring vitamins A and E, and is a mild sun screen.
Green Tea and Rose CreamMy customers tell me this cream applied before going outside serves as well as a sunscreen, and evens the skin tone, and applied after sunburns prevents peeling, itching, burning and more. It is safe for sensitive and reactive skin (barring nut, aloe or beeswax allergy). This is a very lightly rose scented cream- the aroma of the rich green tea infusion shines through.

Don't miss this one! 1.7 oz in a brown glass jar.  Buy this item on Etsy.com right now!
