How to Prevent Hair Loss Naturally

I Would like to share my own regimen and personal battle to fight hair loss, since, we (my family history or genetics) are predispose to this kind of problem and so hair whitening issues, so I am trying as much as I can to protect my hair the natural way possible.

My own regimen (This is simple yet economical):

My hair is so sensitive and our family is predisposed to baldness genetically, I am just glad that I still manage to make it thicker, fuller and manageable despite my receding hairline :-), I don't think I will look great when bald, no offense to bald guys , but there are people who really look good and appealing when they are bald, and unfortunately I just don't think I'm one of those guys:-). It is also very expensive to go to hair loss clinic and not totally effective,  so I decided to discover my own regimen to really save and protect my hair.

1. Regular head and scalp massage to improved circulation, like zone therapy.

2. Avoid wearing hats and caps, it suffocates your scalp skin, makes it prone to perspiration ,  bacterial and fungal growth (dandruff), itchiness.

3. Avoid strong/imported shampoos, I found out I am not "hiyang" (no English word for this but the closest is "adapted") to those products, heavily laden with chemicals and perfumes. What I used? I buy only  those locally formulated "Gugo" shampoo by a chemist that uses only raw and natural ingredients as possible. If I don't have them Perla soap ( a local brand of mild laundry soap which is made from coconut oil, caustic soda, no more, no less)  will do. It's good for my hair but sometimes drying, so what I do is to apply a damp of  virgin coconut oil after or rinse with calamansi (a Philippine lemon) or yellow lemon water to return the softness and moisture .

4. I put apple cider vinegar as a hair and scalp tonic before sleeping and upon waking up or before shower, as my time permits.

5. Put fresh Aloe Vera leaf extract after shampooing if available, try to plant this at home, at times I add Malunggay (moringa) leaf powder and turmeric powder in my shampoos.

6. Sometimes also, I used baking soda water to rinse for more softness and cleansing effect, once in a while.

7. Avoid using shower directly to your hair, specially if the water pressure is very strong, some old ladies told me since they lost their hair due to shower according to them. Our old folks warned us on using shower due to the jet pressure may damage hair and scalp, use rain shower if possible. Noticed in the Philippines it is a common tradition to use "Tabo" ( small water bucket) in bathing, since the emergence of showers many had hair loss problems, it could be a coincidence though.

8. Choose the hairdresser/barber that is "Hiyang" or adapted for your hair, some hairdressers could have negative energies that can ruin your hair when they touch it, believe you me, I have experienced and noticed it many times, seems my hair doesn't like them. I noticed some serious hair fall from some hairdressers who touched my hair.

9. Do not use hair dryer or blower, use comb a lot to cleans, massage and bring back the moisture of your hair.

10. I don't use hair gels, wax, pomade or cream unless it is necessary and to some occasion. Avoid harmful chemicals as much as you can from hair treatments such as rebonds, hair serums, hair dyes etc.

11. I do not use conditioner but only a damp of coconut oil and In case I need to dye my hair or need treatments, I use a henna based hair dye powder mixed with green or black tea and whole egg,  It is perfect, safe and make your hair shinny.

12. Castor oil enhances hair growth, this is a sticky oil and can be diluted with a much lighter oil such as Virgin coconut oil. Apply generously to hair and scalp, then leave overnight, shampoo and rinse in the morning. You may do this twice a week.

13. Stress is one of the prominent reasons for hair fall now-a-days, and it is the major reason for premature graying as well as hair fall. You need to avoid stress from any source and take other steps of hair care. Giving yourself a relaxing hair and scalp massage that includes the oils of Vitamin E, Jojoba, almond and coconut has dual benefits. Learn to manage stress.

14. Diet – White and black sesame seeds are very rich in hair growth substances such as Biotin, yogurt, buttermilk, whole grains, sprouts, milk and green leafy vegetables are some healthy nutrients that should form part of your diet.
