I Love eating fruits! and everybody knows it is good specially if eaten fresh and not processed or canned, all fruits are rich in enzymes and vitamins and minerals, so for who dont like and dont eat fruits, you are missing on the power house of nutrients, to inspire you eat fruits I posted here some of the benefits and reason why fruits shout be a part of your diet, there are thousands of available fruits and I must say all of them are nutritious, these are just the most common and few that you might consider and enjoy. But first make sure your fruits are organically grown meaning no pesticides, chemical fertilizers or worst a GMO. In case of pesticides contamination you may wash it with baking soda or salt and vinegar mixture in water to neutralize some pesticides in the skin. -Tien Cho

Health benefits of Raisins(Kismis)~

Eye care: they protect eyes from damages caused by free radicals, such as macular degeneration, age related weakening of vision, cataract etc.

Bone Health:helpful in preventing osteoporosis induced by menopause in women and is very beneficial for bones and joints.

Sexual Weakness:It is also recommended for those suffering from sexual weakness, to consume raisins regularly.


Anemia: Raisins contain considerable amount of iron which directly helps treating anemia.

Weight Gain: Raisins, like all dry fruits, are very good for gaining weight,without accumulating cholesterol.

Pineapple as a Healthy Snack~

Pineapple is sweet juicy super fruit that is great for fueling energy thanks to high levels of manganese, vitamin C, vitamin B1 (thiamin), copper, fiber, and vitamin B6.

It is packed full of; fructose sugar, that breaks down quickly for an immediate energy boost; dietary fiber that slows digestion for long lasting results; and lots of water, great for hydration.

Pineapple also contains bromelain, which contains a number of enzymes that help improve digestion.

Medicinal properties of Black berry ~
Black berry or Black plum is always appreciated for the color, flavor and taste of its fruit. When sucked, it changes the color of the tongue to purple due to its coloring properties.

1. The extracts of the bark, seeds and leaves are used for the treatment of diabetes.
2. The leaves have antibacterial properties and used for strenghthening teeths and gums.
3. Oral administration of dried alcohalic extracts of the seeds to diabetic patients was found to reduce the level of blood sugar and glycosuria in trials conducted at CDRI, Lucknow India.
4. The bark of black berry tree is astringent, digestive, diuretic, anthelmintic and is considered useful for throat problems
5. A decoction of the bark and powdered seeds is believed to be very usefil in the treatment of diarrhea, dysentery and dyspepsia
6. The antibiotic activity of black berry extract has been widely studied and found useful against a number of microbial agents.
7.The fruit is also considered to be stomachic, carminative, antiscorbutic and diuretic.
8. Vinegar made from black berry fruit is administered in cases of enlargement of spleen, chronic diarrhoea and urine retention
9. For ringworm treatment, water diluted juice is used as lotion
10. A decoction of bark is used in cases of asthma and bronchitis and are gargled or used as mouthwash for the astringent effect on mouth ulcerations, spongy gums, and stomatitis.

Nutritional properties
It is a fairly good source of mineral salts (calcium = 15 mg; potassium = 55 mg; magnesium = 35 mg; phosphorus = 15 mg; sodium = 26.2 mg/100 g fruit) and vitamin C (18 mg/100 g of fruit). It provides 62 Kcal energy per 100 g of edible fruit , It contains fairly good amount of carotene (48 ug/100 g), folic acid (3 mg/100 g)

Health benefits of dates~
1. Wonderfully delicious, dates are one of the most popular fruits with an impressive list of essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals, required for normal growth, development and overall well-being.

2. Fresh date is made of soft, easily digestible flesh with simple sugars like fructose and dextrose that when eaten replenishes energy and revitalizes the body instantly; thus, for these qualities, dates are being used to breakfast during Ramadan months.

3. The fruit is rich in dietary fiber which prevents dietary LDL cholesterol absorption in the gut. It is also a good bulk laxative. The fiber content helps to protect the colon mucous membrane by decreasing exposure time and as well as binding to cancer causing chemicals in the colon.

4. Dates contain many health benefitting phytonutrients flavonoid polyphenolic antioxidants known as tannins. Tannins are known to have anti-infective, anti-inflammatory and anti-hemorrhagic properties.

5. They are a good source of Vitamin-A (contains 149 IU per 100 g), which is known to have antioxidant properties and is essential for vision. Calcium is an important mineral that is an essential constituent of bone and teeth, and required by the body for muscle contraction, blood clotting and nerve impulse conduction. Manganese is used by the body as a co-factor for the antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase. Copper is required in the production of red blood cells. Magnesium is essential for bone growth.

The Health Benefits of Grapes and Their Uses in Home Remedies

There are a few thousand kinds of grapes with very different chemical composition.

Grapes are 65-85% water, 10-33% sugar (glucose and fructose), phlobaphene, gallic acid, silicic acid, quercetine, anin, glucosides - mono delphinidin and delphinidin, fruit acids, like apple acid, salicilic acid, phosphoric acid, lemon acid, amber acid, formic acid and a little bit of oxalic acid, pectins, tannic substances, salts of potassium, magnesium, calcium, manganese, cobalt, iron and vitamins B1, B2,В6, В12, А, С, Р, РР, K, folic acid and enzimes.

Grape skin has tannic substances and essential oils.
Grape seeds have tannic substances, phlobaphene, lecithin, vanilla and fatty oil.
Grape leaves have sugar, quercetine, carotene, inosite, tannic substances, betain, tartaric acid, apple acid, ascorbic acid, protocatechine acid, potassium, sodium, iron and silicon.
Grapes have been used for treating metabolism disorders, liver, kidney and lung disorders and cardiovascular problems. Grapes improve metabolism and have diuretic, anti inflammation, light laxative and inducing perspiration effect.

Warnings:
-Grapes and grape juice are not recommended for obesity, stomach ulcers, diabetes, colitis, diarrhea and dysentery.

-You will get an upset stomach if you eat grapes with milk, cucumbers, melon, fish, beer, mineral water and fatty meals.

-If you have a cavity in a tooth, eating grapes or drinking grape juice will intensify your tooth destruction. Rinse your mouth every time you eat grapes.

Custard apples contain anti-oxidants like Vitamin C, which helps to fight free radicals in our body. It is also high in potassium and magnesium that protects our heart from cardiac disease. Custard apples contain Vitamin A, which keeps your skin and hair healthy.This fruit is also known to be great for eyes, and cures indigestion problems. It's important to include this fruit in your diet, as the copper content helps to cure constipation, and helps to treat diarrhea and dysentery.

PAPAYA
Papaya flesh is an orange color with either yellow or pink hues.
